2009 WSOP* Main Event Final Table
On Saturday, November 7th, play will resume and the November Nine will reconvene to play not only for a 1st place prize of over $8.5 million, but the most prestigious title in professional poker: WSOP Main Event Champion.
The 2009 Main Event drew a starting field of almost 6,500 players, featuring poker’s greatest from around the globe. Following days of intense tournament action as players competed for a share of over $61 million in prize money, the field played down to the final table and the November Nine were named.
Of the November Nine, Full Tilt Poker is represented by Steven Begleiter, James Akenhead and the Team Full Tilt’s legendary Phil Ivey.

Fresh from a final-table finish at the WSOPE Main Event, Akenhead’s ready to play for another shot at WSOP gold. Although he’s starting as the short stack, he’s demonstrated the skill and tenacity to make a run at the title.

$12 Million in Career Tournament Earnings
Winner of 7 WSOP bracelets and over $12 million in career tournament earnings, Team Full Tilt’s Phil Ivey will be playing for his eighth WSOP bracelet as well as his first Main Event title.

$1.2 Million in Career Tournament Earnings
The 2009 WSOP Main Event marks Begleiter’s first cash finish in a major tournament. The former Bear Stearns executive goes to the final table as the third largest stack, intent upon claiming his first title.
